Leora Herbst Mckenney

September 24, 1938 — May 1, 2017

Leora Herbst McKenney, 78 of Anaconda died May 1st, 2017 at the Granite County Nursing Home. She was born in Salmon, Idaho on September 24, 1938 to Byron Arthur & Della (Wilde) Herbst. She graduated high school and later met and married Dennis McKenney on June 21st, 1957. The worked at different jobs and locations and finally decided to move to the Anaconda area in 1971. It was here that Leora and Dennis worked together to form a large truck transport service for over 21 years with Dennis' Braun and "Lee's" Brains! Lee is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years Dennis McKenney of Anaconda and her sister Zeta Weaver of Manhattan, MT. Graveside committal services will be conducted 11a.m. Monday, May 8th, 2017 at the New Hill Cemetery in Anaconda with Pastor Phil Master presiding.
