On December 8, 2013, we tragically lost our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and wife. Kimberly Rae Voorhies Schneider entered this world on January 11, 1967, during a blizzard in Butte, MT, to Denise Elaine Anderson and Jay Ellis Voorhies. Kim graduated from Anaconda High School and went on to become a mother several years later, first to her son, Jesse, then to her daughter, Krysta. On October 7, 2013, Kim married her longtime friend, Ray Schneider. Jesse, Krysta and Ray are the true loves of her life. Kim was a beautiful person and was much loved by her family and friends. She struggled throughout her life but remained a sweet and caring person. She attended college at Montana Tech and the College of Great Falls, making the Dean's List. She had various jobs throughout her life, working at Galen State Hospital, Montana State Hospital, Fairmont, and Walmart. She loved to ride with her Poppa on his motorcycle and to go shopping with her Mama. Kim was very talented, and loved doing crafts with her children and spending time with them. She was a good cook and loved to feed people, in keeping with family tradition. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite witty at times. She had a beautiful smile that lit up the room. She was a generous and caring person and became one of the caregivers for her grandparents during their last years and had a close and loving relationship with her grandmother, Avis Anderson.
Kim was preceded in death by her brother, Zachary Voorhies, grandparents, Edwin and Avis Anderson and Ellis and Nellie Voorhies, and uncles, Errol Anderson and Ben Voorhies.
She is survived by her beloved children, son, Jesse Allen Mayer, of Anaconda, daughter, Krysta Denise Voorhies, of Costa Mesa, CA, her husband, Ray, of Anaconda, and stepson, Raymond Schneider of Great Falls, father, Jay Ellis (Susan) Voorhies, of Anaconda and Denise Elaine Anderson, of Anaconda, brother and family, Malachi, Tara and nephew Payden of Snoqualmie, WA, brother, Wesley Voorhies of Butte, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
