Kay Ann Kiewatt, age 83, of Anaconda, passed away on October 6, 2024. Kay was born July 10, 1941, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Harold and Vivian (Foster) Greeley.
Kay attended grade school in Adams, Wisconsin. Her family moved to Waseca, Minnesota in 1958, for Harold's employment. Kay graduated from Waseca High School in 1959.
Kay took employment with EF Johnson Company in Waseca, Minnesota. This is where she met Merald "Mel" Kiewatt. They dated and then married on February 11, 1961. Kay and Mel had three children, Steven Michael, Linda Kay, and Douglas Todd.
An employment opportunity took the Kiewatt family St. Cloud Minnesota then to Butte, Montana. Mel and Kay raised their family in Butte and now are proud grandparents to 12 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Kay enjoyed her flower garden, music, and training her dog, Roxy. She also enjoyed fishing and was an excellent horse rider. For many years, Mel and Kay played music semi-professionally in St. Cloud, Minnesota and the Butte area.
Kay was an outgoing person. She will be deeply missed by her family
Kay was preceded in death by her parents. Kay is survived by her husband, Mel; children, Steve (Lori) Kiewatt, Linda (Charlie) Eaton, and Doug (Ronda) Kiewatt; 12 grandchilren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held for Kay and she will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Gregson, Montana.
