Karen Ann Williams

On Friday, February 6, 2015, heaven called our angel, Karen Ann Sorum Williams, who passed away peacefully. Karen was the youngest of two children born to Arthur and Cora Sorum on August 21, 1946. The family lived in Opportunity while Art worked for the Anaconda Company and Cora worked at the Warm Springs State Hospital. Karen met Charles A. Williams and they were married on July 6, 1963, when she was just 16. They settled in Anaconda, where they raised their two daughters. They shared 49 wonderful years together, enjoying family and friends. They both loved the great outdoors, getting firewood, camping, wildlife and mining. They also shared a great sense of humor and passion for traveling, including a memorable trip to Norway. Karen is survived by her brother, Art Sorum Jr. (Charlotte); daughters, Leah Williams and Criss (Rick) Wyant; grandchildren, Brook Gervais, Crystal (James) Parker, Brad Gervais, Shay Ragsdale, Tristan Ragsdale; and great-grandson, Julian Parker. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Cora Sorum, her husband Charles who she lost in 2012, and his parents, Harvey and Louise Williams. Per Karen's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pintler Home Health Hospice at 118 East 7th St. Suite A, Anaconda, MT 59711.
