Judy Lee Schaefer Jones

Judy Schaefer Jones, age 77, of Anaconda passed away Tuesday Morning May 7, 2019 at her home in Anaconda. Judy was born in Harlem, Montana November 6, 1941 to August and Lila (Tofte) Schaefer. She received her education in Anaconda. She and William Robert Jones were married March 13, 1963 in Idaho. Bill and Judy made their home in Anaconda. Judy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Anaconda Nursing Home for 30 years, beginning 1972 and retiring in 2002. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dave Schaefer. Judy is survived by her husband of 56 years Billy of the family home; son, Tony of Anaconda; brother, Stan Schaefer of Anaconda; sisters, Bobbie (Pat) Furshong of Spokane, JoAnna (Tim) Lofing of Anaconda, Margie (Steve) Lewis of Seattle, WA; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Evans and mother-in-law, Wenonah Jones of Anaconda; sisters-in-law Carol Rice, Bonnie Lazzarini, Roberta (Jerry) Haggerty and many nieces nephews. Judy is also survived by a special friend Cheryl Hurlbert; her three dogs, Lucy, Mollie and Joey and her cat Peaches. A private interment service will be held at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials in Judy's name are suggested to the Pintler Pets, P.O. Box 1204, Anaconda, MT 59711 of to an organization or charity of the donor's choice.
