It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we announce the passing of Joseph (Joey) John McNeil, who left this world far too soon on June 8, 2026, at the age of 32.
Joey was a devoted father, loving husband, adored son, cherished brother, and loyal friend. To know Joey was to live in a world of laughter. To be loved by him was to experience a love so genuine and unconditional that it changed you forever.
He shared 10 years of life, love, and memories with his family, building a home filled with both joy and resilience through every season life brought their way. Together, they endured life’s hardest moments, including the heartbreaking loss of their son, Rylan, while also welcoming and raising two beautiful boys who were the absolute center of Joey’s world. Being a father was the role he treasured most. His boys adored him, and the love he had for them was endless, unconditional, and evident in everything he did.
Though our hearts are shattered, we take comfort in the memories he gave us, the love he shared, and the impact he had on so many lives. He will be deeply missed every single day and forever loved beyond words.
Joey is survived by his wife, Elizabeth McNeil; his sons, Taylor and Colson McNeil; his parents, Scott and Cheryl McNeil; his brother, Jeff (Lisa) McNeil; his brothers, Thomas Allison and Monty Klistoff; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Rylan McNeil; his grandparents, June and Floyd Higgins and Keith and Eleanor McNeil; and several aunts and uncles.
A service to honor and celebrate Joey’s life will be held on June 18, 2026, at Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service at the American Legion, 220 Cedar Street.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
