Jay Lincoln Ford, 73, passed away peacefully at his home on April 24, 2025. A devoted husband, proud father, loving grandfather, and skilled carpenter, Jay was known for his unwavering work ethic, generosity, and ability to bring out the best in those around him.
Born on October 14, 1951, Jay dedicated his life to both his trade and his family. As a carpenter by profession, he built more than just homes—he built a legacy of strength, kindness, and integrity. His love for the simple joys in life was unmatched: a warm Budweiser, anything green, fishing and hunting in Montana's great outdoors, playing cribbage, cooking big meals for family, and spending Sundays at the OWL Bar surrounded by friends.
Jay is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Ford; his children:
Benji Moore and grandchildren Kori and Kimber
TJ and Maddie Ford and grandchildren Wilder and Montana
Jeremy and Nancy Ford and grandchildren Cheyenne, Kailey, Savannah, Shellby, Jonathan, Chloe, Ryland, and Wyatt
Jason Ford and grandchildren Ricky, Callie, Leah, and Alex
Jessica Ford and grandchildren Gracie and Peyton
Amanda Fischer and grandson Jared
He is also survived by his sisters Joy and Judy and a large circle of extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Jay's honor on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the OWL Bar in Anaconda, Montana. All are welcome to attend and share stories, laughter, and love in his memory.
Jay had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, and his love for them was evident in every hug, every shared joke, and every moment spent together. To his wife Teresa, he dedicated “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait—a song that perfectly reflects his lifelong devotion and deep, abiding love.
Jay will be missed dearly, remembered always, and cherished forever.
