James Robley Bouck was born in Denver, Colorado on June 3, 1937 and passed away June 7, 2015 at the Anaconda Community Hospital. He was the son of Jasper Bouck, and a step son to DeLoss Bouck. His mother was Margaret Sitterding Bouck. All three have preceded James in death as has his youngest son Nathan James Bouck. He was raised in Deadwood, South Dakota, where he attended Lead High School. Jim joined the Army after High School where he served faithfully in the Territory of Alaska, and was Honorably Discharged upon completion of his duty. After the Army; Jim went to Salt Lake City, Utah to be with family, where he met his future wife; Rosella Jongejan (Young). Jim and Rosella met at a Halloween party and married December 9, 1961, in Elko Nevada after a whirlwind courtship.
In 1966, Jim was hired by the Anaconda Copper Company from Salt Lake City and moved to Anaconda. Jim worked on the local Tram for 14 years before the Anaconda Copper Company shut down in 1980. After the smelter closed, he worked in the Anaconda Copper Workers Program through the Job Service, finding employment for laid off Copper Workers. He also worked as a Semi-Truck driver for Palmers and Bitterroot. Jim also started a Book Store and Clothing & Shoe store within the local community.
Jim was a family man. His family always came first and he loved them all to include his 13 Grandchildren and one Great Granddaughter. James is survived by his wife of 53 years; Rosella. He is also survived by his oldest Daughter Marcy Bouck (Jesse Singletary) of Tucson, Daughter Susan Bowman married to Mic and four grandchildren (Kiri (Brandon), Shelby (Michael), Ellie and Addy) of Oregon, Son Miles Bouck married to Kim and seven grandchildren (Nathalie, Elizabeth, Ethan, Abigail, Taliah, Caleb and Elijah) of Germany, Daughter Linda Spillers married to Jay and one grandchild (Timothy) of Anaconda and Scott Bouck married to Joy and one grandchild (Parker) of Utah, and great granddaughter Isabella.
A memorial service will be held at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will follow at New Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
