James "Jim" J. Pollock

James (Jim) Pollock, age 72, of Anaconda passed away peacefully on July 21, 2019, after a long battle with MS. Jim is survived by his wife Lynn of 31 years, daughters Meagan (Bill) Montgomery Lee Ann (Jeff), Smith, sons Sean McNicholas, Chris McNicholas, sister Patsy (Don) Detonacour, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Judy (John) Boyer, Bill (Linda) Browning, Peggy (Bob) Smith, Jim (Rosie) Browning, Jan Browning and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Jim is preceded in death by his parents James J. and Petra Pollock, brothers John (Josie) Collucci, Gene (Joyce) Collucci, mother and Father-in-law, Rae (Marion) Browning. Jim was born in Anaconda on February 25th, 1947 to James J. and Petra Pollock. In his early years, Jim was an avid marble shooter, drag racer, and was often found underneath the hood of a car. Jim joined the Air Force and served four years before returning to Anaconda. He worked many years in logging, construction, and finally as a heavy equipment operator for various mines before his retirement in 2011. Jim was a jack of all trades and could fix anything that needed fixing. He loved helping family and friends with any project, big or small. Jim was passionate about woodworking and cars, especially, his beloved 1957 Chevy Belair. Jim would often be found working in his woodshop building beautiful things out of oak. He loved making things for family and friends. Jim will be best remembered for his gift of gab. There was nothing he loved more than to visit with his friends and family over a fresh cup of coffee. Many a Sunday afternoon he and his daughter Meagan would spend hours discussing life over coffees. His grandchildren, Katie and Ryan Montgomery were the lights of his life. Jim was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone. A special thank you to the nursing staff at the Anaconda Nursing Home for the loving care and support you showed Jim during his stay with you. A celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 26, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by a luncheon at the church.
