GLADYS M. GESSELE
  49 and Holding
Our beloved Mother and Grandma went to Heaven on December 7, 2014. She passed away in her home peacefully with her much loved ones by her side.
Gladys was born to Richard and Sarah Cunningham in Montague, Mt. on a beautiful day of April 2nd.
On August 13, 1942 Gladys married the love of her life Edwin Walter Gessele. Together they built their own home in Opportunity. This union blessed them with three children Judy, Eddy and Rhonda.
Gladys was a loving wife, mother and gramma. Her passion in life was enjoying people. She touched many in her life time.
She worked for years at Solan's Grocery, and later as a retail clerk at Coast to Coast Hardware Store until she retired.
Gladys loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed life going bowling, square dancing, Red Hats, the Saturday morning breakfast club, ladies of the library, Anaconda Choral Society, and snow birding to Arizona, and traveling.
She enjoyed wearing her many hats, you could see daily at McDonalds having her 50 cent ice-cream cone and if she didn't get one it was not a happy day.
Gladys was preceded by her husband Ed, parents Richard and Sarah Cunningham, in-laws Carl and Rosina Gessele, Seven brothers and two sisters, son-in-law Donald G. Peters and faithful friend Art Campbell.
She is survived by her loving family, Judy Lee Peters, Eddy (Merilee) Gessele, Rhonda (Jack) Duffield, 15 grandchildren, Don, Joann, Kevin, Roseann, Steven, Debbie, Tammy, Tasha, Jazmine Peters. Eddy Jr., Julie, Richard, Traci Gessele. Jack and Eddy Duffield; 12 Great-grandchildren Erika, Colton, Carson, Makaylee, Nikki, Dustin, Bryce, Richard, J.T., Kendahl, Zeke, Jessica, and a special niece Angela Claver from Great Falls.
Gladys received her Angel wings with her loveable kitty, Kudles so they could soar the heavens together. Mom will be missed by many; she was our inspiration in life but most of all she was our SUNSHINE. And if you knew her you could hear her saying "HAVE A HAPPY DAY".
Celebration of Life Services will be held at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will follow at the Opportunity Community Club.
