Gerald Edwin "Jerry" Mason passed away June 5, 2015 at the Granite County Nursing Home where he was a resident for three years.
Jerry was born in Hall, MT on October 25, 1924 to William W. Mason and Anna Elizabeth (Schultz) Mason. Jerry, his brothers Bill and Ted, and sister Anna Mae, grew up on the family ranch near Hall.
Jerry joined and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II. He saw action in Saipan, Okinawa, and China, and was honorably discharged in 1946.
Jerry met and on July 5, 1957 married the love of his life, Glenna Louise Mason. They raised two sons, Kip and Monte, and a daughter, Geri.
Construction was Jerry's life. He spent many years supervising bridge construction in western Montana and Idaho. Jerry eventually returned home to Hall, where he continued his work as a general contractor.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Glenna, his parents, brothers, Bill and Ted and by his sister Anna Mae.
He is survived by his daughter Geri "Corky" Mason, sons, William Kip (Linda) Mason and Monte (Julie) Mason.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at the New Chicago (Valley) Cemetery.
