Genevie Ann Adam

August 24, 1943 — May 3, 2017

A very loving and strong willed woman passed away on May 3, 2017 at home with family and friends supporting her. Genevie Ann "Jay" Schofield Adam was born August 24, 1943 in Anaconda to Kenny and Cora Schofield. She lived in Opportunity, MT all her younger years, attending Beaver Dam School, then transferring to town to the Anaconda School System. She graduated from High School in 1961. Jay married the love of her life, Walter Adam on May 20, 1966. Wally died September 16, 2001. Survivors include Son David Adam, Richland, Washington. Daughter Connie (Joe) Staudohar, Anaconda. Grandson Trevon Adam, Butte and granddaughter Stephanie Adam from Billings. Grandson Brandon Wrestling, Lewiston Idaho. And great granddaughter Reese Westling, Anaconda. Also surviving are sisters Peg (Bud) Patterson and Janet (Evan) Bowen, all from Opportunity. Along with many nieces and nephews. Her many names were Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Jay, Annie, Crabannie, Flo, Grandma Annie, Wildwood Momma, and she would answer to all. In her lifetime, she and Wally owned the Checker Flag mini car racing, she bowled, she dealt cards, was active in a CB Club, played pinochle, played dominoes, and shuffleboard and to go camping from tents to motor homes. She worked for the Montana Standard for 22 years delivering papers then working in the office. She worked for Aware, then her favorite job as a Senior Companion. Always on the go, sitting only to do ceramics, play cards, and to drive to see family, friends or to shop with her daughter Connie. There will be a pot luck celebration of her life on Saturday May 13th at the Opportunity Community Club from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Pintler Hospice of Anaconda at 118 E. 7th St., Anaconda, MT 59711.
