Frank W. Bizjak

Frank W. Bizjak, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 12, 2019. Frank was born on June 17, 1943 in Anaconda, to Frank and Josephine Blaz Bizjak. He was a native of Opportunity. He attended local schools and graduated from Anaconda Senior High School in 1961. Frank enlisted in the Navy where he served for five years, stationed at Whidbey Island, Washington. Frank gained his mechanic training and experience working for over three years for the Anaconda Motor Company and two years for Oren Beatty's Texaco Station. After attending a training program in Seattle, he opened Frank's Texaco Service Station, in Anaconda. When Texaco left the state of Montana, he then went to work for The Intermountain Transportation Co. as a diesel mechanic working until they closed in 1994. For a brief time, he worked on locomotives in Livingston Montana at LRC. Returning back to Anaconda, Frank and his wife started the Eagle Chem-Dry carpet cleaning business until they retired in 2004. Frank was always willing to help everyone. He was a talented handyman, including woodworking, plumbing and electrical. Frank loved all sporting events, he was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, Minnesota Vikings, Boston Celtics and Montana Grizzlies. He loved country western music, particularly Willie Nelson. He is survived by his wife Donna "Cookie" Clark, whom he married in Anaconda on June 17, 1967. The couple had just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his daughter Kerri of Missoula and son Curt. Nephews Bob, Jeremy and Justin Bizjak, numerous cousins and many special friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert J. Bizjak, cousins Tim Bartle, Joe and Jim Drakos, and Jennie Votapka. Memorials can be made to the Anaconda Rotary's Sharing is Caring, PO Box 1152, The Mick Gee Foundation, c/o First Montana Bank, or donor's choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
