Florence "Flo" Irene Salle

Florence Irene Salle, age 74 of Anaconda, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was born to the late Pete Wohlman and Margaret Wohlman on May 09, 1943. Florence attended Anaconda High School and graduated in 1961. She married William Ugrin on November 10, 1962 and had two girls, Colleen Marie Ugrin and Christie Ann Ugrin. In 1970, they adopted Vickie Lyn Hayes and raised all three girls in Port Orchard, Washington. Florence returned to her hometown of Anaconda in 1981. In 1984, she met and married James Salle in Elko, Nevada and they spent 33 years together as husband and wife. Family and friends were Florence's passion and delight. She took great pride in seeing her children grow and succeed in life. Her love for children drew her to work in elementary schools as a teacher's aide and recess supervisor. She also enjoyed selling Avon for a number of years since it gave her the flexibility to be with her children. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandson. She was greatly saddened by the tragic passing of her oldest daughter, Colleen, in 1981. Florence was very active and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed softball, bowling, gambling, watching football and travelling. Florence is survived by her wonderful husband, James Salle, her two daughters, Christie (Mike) Belcher and Vickie (Terry) West, grandson David (Rona) Barney, granddaughter Alicia Belcher, great grandson Aiden VandenBosch, granddaughter Kasey (Kris) Kulbeck and granddaughter Kristina West. She also leaves behind numerous other loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few months including Dr. Webster, Dr. Cook and Anaconda Pintler Hospice. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the charity of one's choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
