Elena "Nickie" Petrovich

Elena (Nickie) Petrovich, 86, passed away on Wednesday July 23, 2014 surrounded by her family at the Anaconda Nursing Home. Nickie was born Elena N. Gianfrancesco on January 1, 1928 in Cantalupo, Italy to Thomas & Camilla Gianfrancesco, the second child of four girls. On June 14, 1950 she married Fred Petrovich in Anaconda. They had two children, Antonette and Gary. Things she enjoyed most were family and friends. She was known for her Italian cooking, generosity, and welcoming nature. She was so loving and caring and will be extremely missed. She owned and operated Nickie's Bathique & Gifts alongside her husband's barber shop (Razor's Edge) for many years. Nickie was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred, her parents Thomas & Camilla Gianfrancesco, mother and father in-law Frank & Antonia (Pangre) Petrovich, brothers & sisters- in-laws, John Wind , Genevieve (Ray) Zook, Virginia (Don) Gates, Eugene Petrovich, Stephen (Zebie) (Dorothy) Petrovich, Felix (Pauline) Petrovich, Eberhard (Ebie) Petrovich, Alfred Petrovich, Jeanette (Eli) Matosich , Marion Caulfield, Felix (Pauline) Petrovich, , baby Mary, and niece Linda (Perna) McNeil. She is survived by her sisters Elvira (Al) Perna, Toni Wind, Carmie (Paul) Sullivan. Brother - in-law Henry (Jane) Petrovich of Butte, Terry Caulfield, sister- in-law Kay Petrovich, daughter Antonette (Jim) Svaldi of Anaconda, son, Gary (Traci) Petrovich of Spokane, grandchildren, Stacie (Nate) Sanders of Missoula, Jamie Svaldi of Missoula, Thomas Petrovich of Helena, Spencer & Rachelle of Spokane and numerous nieces of nephews. Family and Friends will gather for visitation Sunday, July 27, from 5:00- 6:30 pm with rosary prayer and vigil service at 7:00 at the Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 28, at 10:30 at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the Rite of Committal services. A reception will follow at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Special thanks to the employees at the Anaconda Nursing Home for the exceptional care they provided to Nickie.
