Elaine DeFea Allen, 94, of Anaconda, Montana, passed away on April 30, 2026, in Vancouver, Washington.
Elaine was born on July 16, 1931, in Belfield, North Dakota, to Frank DeFea and Lena Miller. She moved to Anaconda in 1956 and was very proud of the fact that she got her GED at the age of 69. Elaine was a longtime member of the Anaconda Catholic Community.
On May 24, 1969, Elaine married Jack Allen in Minnesota. Together they shared many years of marriage until Jack’s passing on February 13, 2006.
Elaine devoted her life to her home and family as a homemaker. She especially enjoyed socializing and line dancing with her friends at the Metcalf Center. The friendships she made and the time spent in the company of others brought her great joy throughout her life.
Elaine is survived by her children, Dennis (Bobbie), Randy (Janice), Lea (Steve), and June (Steven); her grandchildren, Greg (Stacey), Wendy (Troy), Randy (Jana), Dan (Kristin), Denise, Joe (Megan), Laura, and Shane; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Allen; her parents, Frank DeFea and Lena Miller; and her brothers, John DeFea and Francis DeFea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. A luncheon will follow at the Hunthausen Center.

Elaine will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, the friendships she cherished, and the joy she found in gathering with those around her. Her memory will live on in the many generations of family who were blessed to know and love her.
