Dorothy Helen Lussy

February 25, 1921 — November 2, 2015

DOROTHY HELEN LUSSY, 94 Dorothy Helen Lussy passed away November 2, 2015 at Community Hospital of Anaconda. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 25, 1921 to George Viox and Helen (Heal) Viox. She attended schools in Cincinnati, where she later met the love of her life, Henry F. Lussy. They were married on February 27, 1943. Soon after WWII, following Henry's wartime service with the US Navy, Dorothy and Henry moved to Montana, first settling in Butte and then residing in Anaconda. After all of her boys were in school, Dorothy went to work at JCPenny's. Later in life she worked at the family owned Washoe Theatre, collecting quarters for the balcony. Little did many know, all the quarters collected from the balcony went into a savings account to help pay for repairs around the Theatre. It also paid for the down payment on the new digital projection system and sound system upgrades installed in 2013. Dorothy was an avid bridge player and enjoyed the company of all the "bridge girls." Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Viox; her husband, Henry F. Lussy; Siblings, Harry and his wife Bodie Viox and Alice and her husband Carl Kollstedt, and sister-in-law Betty Viox and brother-in-law, Charles C. Lussy. She is survived by her boys; Henry P. Lussy of Anaconda, Larry (Linda) Lussy of Missoula, Richard Lussy of Naples, FL and Jerry (Tammy) Lussy of Anaconda; grandchildren, Launa Roque, Jenahlee (Josh) Boruff and Henry W. Lussy all of Vancouver, WA, Sara (Alexander) Dunn of Seattle, WA, Jana (J.D.) Anderson and Marcus Lussy of Anaconda; Great-Grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Joe Roque, Haley Moore, Jenavieve and Vivienne Boruff and Ryker Anderson; Brother, Lawrence Viox and his children Lawrence, Jimmy, Nancy and Kathy; and Nieces, Denise Viox and Karla (Dan) McWilliams, all of Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7th at Holy Family Church with visitation from 9:30-10:30 am. The funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am with a luncheon to follow.
