Dorothy Elizabeth Driggs

Dorothy was born on August 31, 1920 to Carl and Eva Shepka in Anaconda. She spent her early years in Old Georgetown. Her family eventually moved to Anaconda where she loved to roam the hills with her younger brother and sister. Dorothy received her education in Anaconda and graduated from Anaconda High School. On July 6th, 1940 Dorothy and Earl B. Driggs were married in Missoula, Mt. They stayed in Anaconda and built the family home on Cable Road. Many happy times were spent there prior to moving to town. Dorothy raised the four children while Earl made a living as a contractor. Her kind and gentle spirit will be remembered by all. She believed that all should be treated equally and with the Christian spirit in mind. She was a member of the Anaconda Garden Club and the Catholic Community. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Earl Driggs Jr. (Idaho), Robert Driggs (Rae) of Anaconda, Patty Lombardi(Chris) (Colorado) and Alice (Howie) of Anaconda. Grandchildren are Kevin (LiHong) Lombardi, Randy Lombardi, Chris Lombardi, Scott (Kelly) Driggs, Shawn Driggs, Laura (Tim) Pomeroy, Janell (Doug) Allen, Eric (Dina) Cortright, Lisa (David) Cortright Patanella. Great grandchildren are Ashley Driggs, Nina Lombardi, Thea, Byron and EJ Pomeroy, Jade, Dalia, Ruby Allen, Austin Fifield, Allyson Cortright and Gabby Patanella. She was preceded by her husband's death. Also, preceding her were parents, Carl and Eva Shepka and brother Carly and sister Alice. Services will be December 27th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. A reception at Holy Family will follow the interment. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy would prefer that donations be made to your favorite charity.
