David Lincoln Nelson

David "Dave" Lincoln Nelson, born February 12, 1935, on his family farm in Glenville, Minnesota, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, peacefully with his family by his side.

At 17 years old Dave joined the Navy where he served for 3 years. When he got out of the Navy it was not long before he became an Army Reservist.

Dave held many jobs over his lifetime, 48 that he could remember.  His mom called him a gypsy because he would not stay in one place too long, but he always had a job wherever he landed.

Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to tractor swap meets and auctions as well as garage sales looking for jewelry to add to his collection and, of course, John Deere tractors.

Dave and his late wife, Judy, started the Pioneer Power Tractor Association, where he took his pride and joy, a 1935B, to many parades and tractor shows.

Dave is preceded in death by his wife, Judith "Judy" Nelson, his son, Brian Nelson, his 1st wife, Shirley Nelson, his brother, Bob Nelson, and his parents, Harlen and Blanche Nelson. He is survived by 7 of his children, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, many more family and friends, as well as his beloved puppy, Penny.
