David E. Graham, 78
Funeral services for David E. Graham, 78, will be conducted from Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28th, at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
David passed away unexpectedly at his home in Anaconda, MT on Thursday, October 22nd, 2015.
David, better known as Dave by family and friends, was born in Whitehall, MT on January 15th, 1937 to Leland and Myrtle Graham. Dave was raised in Silver Star, MT and attended school in Twin Bridges, MT. Dave married the love of his life, Marian Buchanan, of Butte, MT on October 17th, 1959. After their marriage, they were blessed with three beautiful children. In 1969, the Graham family settled in Anaconda, MT. Dave worked at the Anaconda Company for 28 years as a boiler maker and a welder. He also worked at the Foundry for 3 years before retiring to spend time with his wife and children.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, ride 4-wheelers and motorcycles, and camp. Dave loved to work on classic cars and spend lots of time in his garage, but more than anything, he loved making memories with his wife, kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Dave is survived by his brother, Bob and his wife, Penny, and his sister, Margaret; children, David and wife Joan of Puyallup, WA, James and Diane of Anaconda, MT, Lorna and husband Jack of Fairbanks, AK; grandchildren, Jeff and wife Amber, Elicia and husband John, Tawny and husband Fernando, Jessica, Coldeane and husband Ryan, Staci and husband Darren, Travis, Elizabeth, Kaitlin, Stacey, and Eric; numerous great grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Robert R. Greer Jr. and his beautiful wife, Marian.
A reception will follow the public graveside service in remembrance of David at the Opportunity Community Center. This event will be a potluck gathering provided by the family. However, side dishes, salads, and desserts would be greatly appreciated. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a wonderful man who may be gone, but will never be forgotten.
