David Allen Canter passed away in Anaconda on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the age of 58.
  David was born at home on February 15, 1955, in Charleston, West Virginia to Robert and Virginia (Nolf) Canter. David was raised in West Virginia and at the age of 17 relocated to Denver, Colorado. It was there that he met and married Sherry and together they raised their five children. They moved to Anaconda in 1995, where David worked as a carpenter for John Schaulk Construction and later he became a general contractor.
  David enjoyed playing guitar, poker, hunting, fishing, and football. He was a big Broncos fan and most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
  David is survived by his children; Rich Baldwin, Amy Canter, Elizabeth Canter, and David "DJ" Canter , all of Anaconda, his grandchildren; Jake, Josh, Dillon, Shelby, Kristen, Johannah, Vanessa, Caleb, and Aubrie, his brother; Johnny Canter of WV, sisters; Stella Willard of WV, Nancy Smith and Jeannie Martinez of Colorado.
  David was preceded in death by his parents and his sister; Mindy Lynn Baldwin.
  Memorial services will be held at a later date.
