Charles Joseph Clavelot

April 17, 1958 — May 15, 2013

Few words can describe a man with such great talent. This world will forever be at a loss. Charles Joseph Clavelot died on May 15th, 2013. Chuck was born April 17th, 1958, in Anaconda, MT to Omer and Connie Clavelot, joining his sister Sherry. He spent most of his childhood in Anaconda, Galen, and Deer Lodge, graduating from Powell County High School in 1976. From there he received a degree from Montana Tech and a job at MSE in Butte where he worked as a graphics specialist. He always brought happiness to the workplace, whether it was designing fake magazine covers of coworkers or setting up friendly pranks, laughter followed Chuck wherever he went. In 1986, he married Sheila Messer. They had two wonderful sons, Drew in 1990 and Dane in 1994. Chuck enjoyed playing golf, listening to music, the daily crossword puzzle, technology, photography, and getting together with his friends to barbecue. But most importantly, Chuck loved spending time with his boys. He had an uncanny sense of humor, and an even more impressive cleverness with words. He was comfortable in front of hundreds of people or being a DJ on the radio. Chuck had many incredible friends throughout his life, but most importantly Jim, Bill, and Billy. He spent the last two years of his life working at the Title and Registration Bureau. Chuck was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad Connie and Omer Clavelot, numerous cousins, uncles and aunts, and grandparents. As well as his close mentor Wallie LeSage. Chuck is survived by his sons Drew and Dane, their mother Sheila, his sister Sherry and husband Jim, nephew Jim and wife Carmen, and their daughter Cailey. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends.
