Catherine ("Kay") Jacobson passed away peacefully on November 9, 2017, at Spokane Valley, Washington, at age 92, with family members at her side. Kay was the wife of Dr. Albert C. Jacobson (deceased) and mother of Lawrence ("Larry") Jacobson (Julie) and Karen Jacobson Moats (deceased, wife of Jesse Moats, deceased). Kay owned and operated the Spectacle Shop; participated in numerous capacities in community development; acted as Girl Scout leader, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Anaconda Ladies Golf Assn., and secretary of the Ancilla Club for Anaconda Central; and worked in the Catholic school system. Always active, Kay enjoyed all aspects of life at Georgetown Lake, golf at the Anaconda and Butte Country Clubs, social gatherings at the family homes on Locust Street and Copper Road, extensive reading and writing, travel, and the camaraderie of friends throughout the community. Kay is also survived by her brother, Donald J. O'Brien (Shirley), special niece and caregiver, Marcia Jacobson Papich, five grandchildren (Molly Jacobson Greany, Matthew Jacobson, Brendan Jacobson, Sean Jacobson and Nora Jacobson Parente), nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will occur on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church located at 217 W. Pennsylvania Street, Anaconda, Montana. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
