Betty Jean Lodell

BETTY JEAN LODELL Passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Granite County Nursing Home in Philipsburg, MT. Betty was born on August 17, 1922 in Anaconda, MT to Albert and May (Gilbert) Strom. She graduated from Anaconda High School in 1940. She married Albert John (Jack) Lodell on December 5, 1942 in Anaconda, MT. Betty worked for the Office of Public Assistance in Anaconda, MT. Betty was very active and enjoyed skiing, bowling, golf and playing bridge. As a teen she was known to figure skate for programs at the Commons. She was a member of the Anaconda Choral Society, Grange, Anaconda Garden Club, Anaconda Country Club, Elks, Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church in Anaconda. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and May Strom, brothers Gordon, Eldon and Warren Strom, sister Lilah Holt and her husband, Jack Lodell. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Gail Lodell of Indiana, grandson, Craig Lodell, of Indiana, granddaughters, Carolyn Baile of North Carolina and Kathy Kargacin of Minnesota. Great-grandchildren, Austin, Rebecca and Madison Lodell. Great-Great Granddaughter Asteria-Rain Lodell. Donations to Granite County Nursing Home, P.O. Box 729, Philipsburg, MT 59858. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Chapel in Anaconda. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the services.
