Barbara "Barb" Joan Clifford peacefully passed at her home on February 22, 2017 in the midst of family.
Barb was born in Flint Michigan on July 9, 1934 to Charles and Daphne Wenn at the height of the great depression. Despite hard times her early memories were a glimpse into the simple, free and adventurous spirit of that era. A quiet, unassuming woman, one would never guess of the places she had been nor the experiences she had lived. Travelling cross country with her family and settling in San Francisco she met the love of her life a handsome, young marine from Butte, Timothy Clifford. The two were married on February 9, 1951 with six children born from their union. After vacationing in Montana for many years, at Barb's insistence, the family relocated to Montana in 1971. Settling in Anaconda, both Tim and Barb would pass surrounded by their memories in the family home.
A frugal soul Barb took great pride in warmly decorating her homes with flea market and garage sale finds. Her kind, loving heart extended beyond her family to friends, strangers and God's creatures. Devotion to family led Barb to family functions near and far, never missing a birth or wedding and enjoying many a hike and camping trip. Her wisdom about what was important in life will remain etched in each of our hearts.
Thank you, Mom, for your beautiful, unselfish love, ever persevering spirit and for teaching us about God through your faith. We will miss you greatly!!!
