Terrence Clark Obituary

Terrence ‘Terry' Joseph Clark, 82, from Anaconda was called upon to join hands with God on March 30, 2020 at the Anaconda Community Hospital surrounded by family.
Terry was born August 3, 1937 in Anaconda, MT. He was the youngest child of Terrence and Rosella (McLaughlin) Clark. He attended local schools to include Lincoln and Anaconda High school. During Junior high school he learned how to play chess, a game he continued to study throughout his life. During his days at Anaconda High he enjoyed being a member of the Quill & Scroll, and working on the business side of the Big Stack year book and as a staff member of the Copper Glow newspaper in 1955.
In February 1955, Terry enlisted in the Navy Reserves based out of Butte, MT and assigned to the Thirteenth Naval District in Seattle, WA and was honorably discharged on February 2, 1963. While serving in the Navy Reserves, Terry worked on his apprenticeship at the Anaconda Foundry as a molder. He was later offered an apprenticeship as a steelworker and furthered his career as a Journeyman Boilermaker.
He transferred to the Butte Operations of the Anaconda Company in 1963 and worked in the Butte Mines, and the Berkeley Pit eventually transferring to the Butte Concentrator where he finished his career once operations ceased.
Terry enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family: fishing, camping, and building lifetime memories at Georgetown Lake. He taught all his children and grandchildren how to play cribbage and chess. Terry was also a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Anaconda.
Terry married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Walter on October 8, 1961. Terry and Ruth Ann enjoyed every day together. On March 30, 2020 they were reunited and will spend the rest of eternity holding hands and watching the fruit of their looms grow and succeed in life.
They are survived by their children and their children's, spouses and grandchildren: Terrence and Robin Clark, Linda Lee Schoening, Rosemarie Clark and Steve Hedrick, and Julie Ann and Matthew Ives. His grandchildren are Terrence and Aimee Clark, Ryan Clark Cummings, Tyler Lane Schoening, Sarann Ruth Schoening and Lilijanna Leonore Cummings. He spoke to his children daily on the telephone and would often bring up family memories which included his nieces Nonie, Jayne and Twinkie Skakles.
Terry and his wife Ruth Ann always advocated that family came first and they proved this by always choosing to put the needs of their children above their own. He was proud during gathering of his family and to see the exuberance of our love for each other. As each of his family members entered the house you could always expect a big bear hug.
Proceeding him to the gates of heaven; his beloved wife Ruth Ann, his parents Rosella and Terrence, sister and brother-in-law's Bill and Ruth Skakles, and Vincent and Leonore Kerkoff and son-in-law Edward Schoening.
