Scott Spiegle Obituary
Scott Edward Spiegle, 52, of Anaconda, made his final repair to help a friend, and then peacefully passed on to spend eternity, pain free, with his father, mother and beloved pets, Cody and Emma, on Monday, August 19, 2019.
Scott was born December 10, 1966, in Butte Montana, to Edward and Elizabeth Spiegle. Scott lived his entire life in Anaconda, a town he loved dearly. He graduated from Anaconda High School and later as an automotive mechanic from Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie.
Scott enjoyed a simple life, asking for little, and taking care of so many. He dedicated his life to helping his mother, after his father's death, and anyone else needing a helping hand or repair. When his health allowed, his passion was woodworking, and his garage "projects." These projects were often a surprise for someone he loved, and they were surprised, as he could keep a fierce secret. Scott's birdhouses were his claim to fame and enjoyed by so many people and birds. He cherished his adventures to his friend's ranch, Dr. Ed Bartoletti, to retrieve loads of reclaimed hardwood for his woodworking. For a man of such large stature, he was a gentle giant, and loved all animals. Deer and dogs were his favorite, providing the deer in his backyard a treat and drink of water, and a pocketful of "doggie biscuits" for his friends he would encounter on his daily walks. Scott will be missed by so many.
Scott is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Amy and Fred VanAlstyne. Fred's children Neil and Jessica VanAlstyne, Kirk, Fiona and Avery VanAlstyne; Bill VanAlstyne. Cousins Patty, John, Paul, Jamie, Jessie, Sarah and Hope. Extended family Virginia Carosone and family. Dear friends Dale and Terrie Zitur.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Edward and Elizabeth Spiegle; grandparents Ed and Nellie Spiegle, John and Charlotte Hopkins; aunt Janice Stoner; aunt and uncle Bob and Sarah Siebrasse; cousin Tim Siebrasse; and his pets and companions Cody and Emma.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
Donations may be made in Scott's name to Pintler Pets, PO Box 1204, Anaconda MT 59711 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
