Pauline Flo (DeLance) Ulstad passed away peacefully at the Community Hospital of Anacondaon March 13, 2014. Pauline was born along with her twin sister, Jean, on October 16, 1923 in Randolph, Nebraska to Bliss Jay and Emma (Wagner) DeLance. Pauline grew up in Randolph where she also graduated from high school before joining the US Navy during WWII. While stationed in Utah, she met fellow seaman and her future husband, Orlin Ulstad. They were married on June 23, 1946 in Anaconda where they resided their entire married life.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Orlin, infant sister, Helen, sisters Frances, Mary and Jean and brothers Donald, Harold and Douglas. She was also preceded in death by many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Pauline is survived by her daughters Judy (Dave) Nielsen, Gig Harbor, WA, and Debra (Tom) Blodnick, Anaconda; grandchildren Amy (Paul) Gangstand, Gig Harbor, WA, Heather (Tim) Newton, Mountlake Terrace, WA, Steve (Joey) Blodnick and Bob (Mandy) Blodnick, all of Anaconda. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. where Pauline will be laid to rest next to her husband, Orlin, at New Hill Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the services at the Anaconda VFW Hall.
