Michael Sbragia Obituary
Mike was born the third of five children on March 07, 1951to Georgia and Alex Sbragia. He went to join many loved ones with his Lord and Savior Jesus at the age of 64.
Mike grew up in Anaconda and attended Anaconda Senior High School, graduating in 1970. He then attended Western Montana College in Dillon, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Education. He taught in Charlo and Warm Springs State Hospital in the Education Department.
Mike was a lifetime Copperhead fan. He never missed a game. He also had an extreme love for the Montana Grizzlies and was a proud season ticket holder.
In high school, Mike was a manager on the Copperhead Basketball Team. As an adult, he worked with the "chain gang" at the football games.
Mike loved to travel and was known for his phenomenal memory - names, dates, sports scores, etc. He loved being with his family. He had compassion for people and animals and would help when and where he could. He volunteered at the Anaconda Food Bank.
Mike was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings over the years. He was an avid bowler where he met many friends throughout Montana. He loved being outdoors and camping and hiking. He spent a lot of time exploring. He loved to fish and spent many special times fishing mountain lakes.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents Alexander Edward and Georgia Uvada (Amer) Sbragia, his sisters Leann (Sbragia) West and Annette "Jo" (Sbragia) Massey-Dean, and brothers-in-law Don West and Ian Massey.
He is survived by his sisters Connie Sbragia (Ben Bucholz), Anaconda, and Sharon Sbragia (Gery) Ricks, Dillon, brother-in-law Randy Dean, Opportunity, thirteen nieces and nephews; Carolyn Bucholz (Lloyd) Dunn, Benny (Melissa) Bucholz, Sandra Bucholz (Ken) Walund, Monty (Keri) Bucholz, Jerry (Angela) West, Carey and David West, Jason (Britney) Ricks, Sheri Ricks (Cris) Lagunas, Lindsey Ricks (Greg) Bird, Kristy Ricks (Jerad) Vezina, Cindy Ricks, Amerlyn Dean, and many great nieces and nephews and his cat "Monster."
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Anaconda on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 in Logan, Utah.
