Mary Agnes Sevores passed away peacefully at her home in Anaconda on Wednesday, September 24th at the age of 61. She was born in Anaconda, Montana on December 19, 1952 to David and Donna (Riley) Hebert. Mary grew up in Anaconda, graduating from Anaconda Central High School in 1972. She completed nursing school at Warm Springs, becoming an LPN. She worked at the State Hospital in Galen, Deaconess Hospital in Billings in ICU and CCU, back at Galen until it closed, completing her career at the State Hospital in Warm Springs until health issues forced her to retire in 2001. Mary married John Sevores on September 9, 1984 at Washoe Park Penny Pond.
Mary raised her three children, all the while, enjoying crocheting, knitting, fishing, hunting, rock hounding, and collecting. She loved shopping garage sales and thrift stores, adding to her collection of knick- knacks. She was known for her joy of baking her favorite treats, brownie bites. More recently she enjoyed watching television and eating rolos. She loved her grandchildren and all other children. She spent twenty years living up Sheep Gulch before moving to town.
Mary is survived by her soul mate John Sevores, her three children; Jay (Jessica Schimming) Sevores of Anaconda, Amy Rucker (Tim) of Miles City, and Dawn Roe (Jordan) of Nampa, Idaho. Her siblings; Dave (Christina) Hebert of Anaconda, Laurie (George) Niland of Opportunity, Patty(Mike) Kearney of Missoula, Mike Hebert of Anaconda, and Tom(Barb) Hebert of Red Lodge. Her grandchildren; Tristiny, Jaden, Brenden, Jacob, Seth, Ethan, Nicole and Zachary. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her grandson, Rhyan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 29th at 2:00pm at the Opportunity Community Club.
