Mary Bosanatz Obituary

Mary Catherine Bosanatz passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in Anaconda at the age of 92. She was born September 8, 1922 in Anaconda to Thomas and Mary (Bozic) Pavlick. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1940 and went on to attain her Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas. Mary returned to Anaconda and went to work at the Daly Bank. She later worked as the executive manager for Intermountain Transportation until her retirement.

Mary married Leonard Bosanatz in 1954. They enjoyed many years together until his death in 2003. Mary enjoyed her family and dancing at the Elks Club every Saturday night. She was proud of her Croatian heritage. Both of her parents, Tom and Mary, were immigrants from Croatia. One of the highlights of her life was taking her parents back to visit family and friends in Croatia. It was the first time her parents had been able to visit in more than 50 years.

Mary is survived by her sisters; Catherine Weir of Westlake, Ohio and Anne Walker of Great Falls, MT, as well as her nieces; Mary, Connie, Denise, Marcia and Carole, many great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered fondly by her good friends Ellen McKeon and David and Wendy Elias.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard and her brothers-in-law Richard Weir and Robert Walker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:30 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 19 Discovery Drive, Butte, MT 59701 or a charity of the donor's choice.
