Mark Horvath Obituary

Mark E. Horvath passed away on October 22, 2014 at the Community Hospital of Anaconda after a long battle with cardiomyopathy.

He was born in Great Falls on February 11, 1956 to Pete and Geri (Whalen) Horvath. In 1963 Pete and Geri moved their young family to their home west of Anaconda. Mark attended Anaconda Central High School until its closure in 1973. He proudly wore his ACHS letter jacket his senior year at Anaconda High School. After graduation Mark completed a three year apprenticeship with his father, Pete. He was a 5th generation stone mason and travelled extensively with his trade. Mark retired in 1999 due to his failing health.

Mark was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan and "finally got to see them win a Super Bowl". He enjoyed watching Westerns, listening to Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr., and his Wednesday's with his friends at Carmel's. Mark was always remodeling his childhood home and was always at peace on his property. He was very proud of his Irish heritage and was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Mark is survived by his children Katie (Jon) Bisch, Matthew (Mary Beth) Horvath, and Michael (Brianna Dudley) Horvath; grandsons Parker and Connor Bisch. Also surviving are siblings Sharon Overton, Paul Horvath, Mary Horvath and Becky (Loren) Blom, several nieces and nephews and his favorite black cats Mikey, J., and Squeak.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pete and Geri Horvath.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
