Margaret Saurer Obituary

Margaret June Saurer, 93, passed away peacefully July 11, 2018 surrounded by her family. June was born in Whitehall, MT on October 26, 1924. She grew up on a ranch with her 4 siblings. After high school, June married her high school sweetheart, Arthur Collins. She and Art were blessed with 6 children.
June was proceeded in death by Arthur Collins in 1959. She married Theodore Saurer "Teddy Bear" in 1974. Ted brought June complete love and companionship for 34 years. Ted and June enjoyed traveling across the country to visit family and friends.
June was a professional bookkeeper for many years. She worked for HECLA Mining Company and maintained a number of local mining claim books. She also worked for the local sawmill and completed her career as the Deputy Clerk of Recording for Granite County.
She was a member of the Philipsburg Garden Club. She donated many hours assisting with the annual garden club show set-up/theme decorating of the event. June often took home the top honors for her flower arrangements. She was a master seamstress and made many special occasion dresses, Easter, Prom and wedding bridesmaids for her daughters.
She greatly enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to impart important life lessons and always had unbiased advice. Her words of comfort and wisdom kept us in line and gave us something to pass down to our children. June showed immense patience with her children's passions; fast cars, spunky horses and freedom of growing up in Philipsburg. She never spoke ill of nor did she judge other's actions. When she was able to find quiet time, she hibernated in her sewing room to create the latest masterpiece for her girls and she found solace in her beautiful garden.
June leaves behind her sister Shirley Riddell and children Ron (Jane) Collins, Linda (Grant) Ellison, Robin (Doug) Morrison, Terri (Rich) McDaniel and step-daughter Marge Feback plus numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, whit, charm, grace, undying love and caring for them. June is proceeded in death by her husband's Arthur Collins and Theodore Saurer, son Richard Collins, daughter Karilyn DeCouteau and step-son Robert Saurer.
Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Clayton Brown at 11:00 a.m. at the Granite County Museum on August 4, 2018. A reception will take place directly after the service.
