Joseph Tuss Obituary
Joseph Stephen Tuss, 89 went to join the love of his life, Lois on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his home in Opportunity. Joseph was born in Anaconda to Andrew and Mary (Maricich) Tuss on April 9, 1926.
Joe grew up in Opportunity and graduated from Catholic Central High School in Anaconda in 1944. He joined the US Navy, serving his country during WWII. He married Lois Morrison on June 10, 1950. Joe worked for the Anaconda Company at the smelter and later at the concentrator until his retirement. He was also a jack of all trades known for his many skills.
Joe enjoyed horses, snow cats, 4-wheelers, camping, hunting, fishing and going for rides in the country. He especially enjoyed time visiting with grandkids. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Joe is survived by his children; Steve (Debbie) Tuss of Anaconda, Joel (Laurie) Tuss of Anaconda, Jamie (Roxine) Tuss of Opportunity, Roxane (Randy) Salle of Anaconda, his brother Verne (Betty) Tuss of Opportunity, his caregivers; Spring and Steve Davis of Opportunity, his grandchildren; Brandon, Brett, Eric and Skylynn Tuss and Stephan Davis, and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois and his brother Walter Tuss.
Private Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with military honors.
