Our beloved Father, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle & Friend, Joel Morales, drove his hot rod to heaven this past week. Joel loved hotrod cars, horses, Butte and Anaconda history, and tinkering in his garage but most of all his children and grandchildren. Joel was born September 15th, 1955 to Alfronzo (Wayne) and Phillis Morales in Anaconda, Montana. Joel attended school from grades K-12 in Anaconda. Joel was an exceptional carpenter and built his house which he has resided at since his graduation in 1973 from Anaconda High School. He worked for himself for many years doing what he loved, carpentry, but he also worked at the Smelter, for Affco as a patternmaker, and more recently at the Anaconda High School. Each job he had brought a new dimension of interest and excitement, he had stories to tell of all places he worked but he really enjoyed the kids and his co-workers at the school.
Joel was a friend to all and loved by many. Joel is survived by his two children Brandi (Loren) and Bryant (Melodi) and three grandchildren, Caylee, Caiden and Kian. He is also survived by his brother Jason (Maria) Morales, sister Jodie (Tom) Tauscher and their children, Josh, Lindsey and Andrew, his beloved niece, Belinda Jenkin and her children Andrew, Cidney & Brandon, nephew Jeremiah (Mindi) Morales, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Alfronzo and Phillis.
Funeral services for Joel will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Living Waters Church in Anaconda. There will be a reception to follow at the Club Moderne.
