Francine Amaya Obituary

Our Dear Sister, Francine Lee Amaya passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012 at the St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula, wither sister by her side. Francine had heart surgery in August of 2012 and was unable to fully recover.

Francine was born on January 1, 1942, at Crow Agency, Montana to Nora Lande Vargas and Frank Amaya, and stepdaughter to Ysidro Vargas.

Francine grew up in Anaconda where she attended the local schools and lived most of her life there with her mother and stepfather.

She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Parish and attended mass regularly. Francine loved music and enjoyed listening and dancing to it. She loved going for rides in the country or just riding around her community and took advantage of every opportunity to be on the go.

She sold AVON while living in Anaconda and enjoyed all the wonderful people she would meet.

Francine moved to Missoula in 2000, where she lived until her passing. She loved Missoula and had many kind and wonderful friends there that she enjoyed spending time with over a cup of coffee. Francine's closest friend and care provider spent much quality time together, shopping (Franny's favorite thing), going for rides and lots of lunch outings.

Family was very important to Francine and she always remained close to her brothers and sisters. She was a kind, loving and gentle soul who loved all people and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Francie is survived by her now oldest brother, Emery (Rose) Amaya, Virginia (Dallas) Allen, Thomas (Kathy) Amaya, Kathy Warne. In addition, Francine is lovingly remembered by multiple nephews and nieces.

Francine was preceded in death by her father (Frank), mother (Nora), stepfather (Ysidro), three brothers, Rupert, Eugene, and Albert, and a nephew (Russell Allen).

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
