Eric Blom Obituary
On November 28th, 2015 we lost our beloved Eric. The youngest son of Ruth (Hanson) Blom and the late Adrian "Ade" Blom, Eric was born and raised in the West Valley of Anaconda where he made so many lifelong friends. He spent his youth playing baseball, hunting and fishing with his mom, dad, brothers and sisters, which became a passion of his that was passed on to his beloved son Dias Blom.
Eric's first job was working at Custodis for his dad. During this time, he got to travel to different states. He returned to Anaconda after living in Oregon and soon thereafter he began working at Stillwater Mining Co. in Big Timber, MT where he has been for 15 years.
He married the love of his life Kristen (Smith) Blom on August 29, 2015 in Sand Basin, MT. Eric cherished his time home from work and he filled every day off with friends and family and his beloved lab Trigger. Eric's idea of a good time was being out in the mountains with friends, family, cold Bud Light, and a hot fire. He loved hunting, fishing, four wheeling , snowmobiling, skiing and camping.
Eric filled our lives with laughter and never passed on an opportunity to prank someone. The love he had for his family was boundless. He had such a closeness with his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews but none closer than with his mother Ruth. Eric's smile will be eternally missed and we will never forget those beautiful blue eyes.
Eric is survived by his mother Ruth Blom, his wife Kristen (Smith) Blom, his son Dias Blom, his siblings Ron (Doris) Paull, Mark (Allison) Blom, Lorin (Rebecca) Blom, Sandy (Dan) Tocher and Michelle (Randy) Paull, mother-in-law Sue Hollowell, sister-in-law Carinne Smith, brother-in-law Mandela Hollowell, nieces and nephews, Brandis (David) Frank, Carl Paull, David (Caitlyn) Paull, Cody (Alicia) Tocher, Haley (Zane) Tocher, Justin (Jamie) Paull, Mariah Blom, Skyler and Nicole Stuber, great nephew and nieces, Gavin Frank, Zaeleigh Paull, Adeley Kenny, and many loved uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Adrian Blom and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Eric's Life will be held at the VFW Hall in Anaconda on Saturday, December 5th at 12:00 p.m.
