Deborah Marino Obituary

She loved to garden. She had what you could call a green thumb, and everything she touched blossomed.

Deborah Ann Marino was born in Anaconda, Montana on June 3, 1963, and she passed from our world on July 26, 2014, at the age of 51 in Anaconda. Although she lived a far from perfect life, she had - and has - family and friends who love her and will never forget her.

Debbie grew up in Montana and attended Montana State University where she received a Bachelor's in finance. She worked for many years, but more importantly she raised two children in Houston, Texas and gave them all she had. There is no such thing as a perfect mother, but she tried her best all her life, and her children could not have been more proud, nor could they have been any sadder to lose her.

She leaves behind what she created. Quilts and blankets, stitched over time with love and care. Pictures, most of which she did not care to be in. Beautiful plants and flowers, some of which will survive and blossom for years to come, and some of which will likely soon pass on with her. She loved to talk and she loved to laugh. The most important things we have left are the memories of time spent together.

Debbie is survived by her two children, Rachel and Ryan Marino, her parents, Van and Mary Smith, her siblings and their partners, Sheri and Allen Nygren of Argenta, Mark and Sarah Smith of Warrensburg, Missouri, Shelly Coward and Dan Grinolds of Anaconda, Cliff and Stacy Smith of Helena, Glen and Lisa Smith of Deer Lodge, her dogs Callie and Brisco, and quite frankly too many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews to name.

Memorial Services for Deborah will be held on Thursday, July 31st at 11:00 am at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pintler Pet, PO Box 1204, Anaconda, MT 59711. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the Haufbrau.
