Cecilia Chapin Obituary

Cecilia Chapin (Micone), born March 27th, 1932 in Anaconda, MT to Antonio and Concetta Micone. She joined her sister Mary Olga (Lorello) and brother John Angelo.
She attended Prescott and Daly grade schools, Anaconda Junior and Senior High School, and graduated in 1950.
Following high school, Cecilia moved to San Francisco to attend a dental hygienist program. While there, she met and married Stewart Chapin, a career Navy man. They had two sons, Michael and Mark.
After Stew retired from the Navy in 1969, they returned to her home town of Anaconda.
Cecilia always enjoyed helping others and being involved in the community. She worked for many years delivering meals for Metcalf Senior Center. Later, she volunteered as a greeter at the Anaconda Community Hospital.
Cecilia passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16th, surrounded by family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stewart, son Michael, sister Mary and brother John.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Phyllis Chapin of Deer Lodge, MT, son Mark (Margaret) of Milwaukie, OR, granddaughters Monica Chapin Herbertson (Dave), and Michelle Schnabel (Jeff), and great grandchildren Natalie and Jameson Schnabel of Portland, OR.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.
Donations in her honor may be made to the Anaconda Catholic Community, 217 W. Pennsylvania Ave. or Anaconda Pintler Hospice, 118 E. 7th St., Ste. 1A.
