Cathy Kostad Obituary

On September 6th an amazing daughter, wife, mother, grandma and best friend graduated from this temporal world to her eternal home with her Savior Jesus.

Cathy (Scholler) Kostad was a very gifted woman. She enjoyed painting ceramics, doing flower arrangements, baking, cooking and decorating. She enjoyed doing the paper routes with her co bear, Cody. She looked forward to doing that every night for several years. She liked 50s and 60s music especially her Elvis. Oh, how she loved him. Her favorite song of his was Jailhouse Rock. She also enjoyed old Hymns, like "How Great Thou Art" and "Power in the Blood." She loved to sing to the lover of her soul, Jesus.

She left a legacy in each one of her boys. Her children have a part of her that will be forever cherished. When you look at each one of them you can see a piece of Cathy. Rather it be her temper, her boldness, creativity, love for music, compassion or faith in Jesus her boys reflect her. She had such passion for her family especially her grandchildren. She burned with excitement over them. She has 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She loved each of them so much. But one of her little sidekicks was her baby girl, Savannah. The sun rose and set on that little girl. They had a bond that no one could tear apart. Everyone knew her to be kind and compassionate. No matter how much pain she had she would always have a smile on her face and the strength to keep fighting the good fight. She was a momma bear if anyone would ever touch her children. She was a very protective and loving mom.

Cathy was born in Akron Ohio to Edith Jorgensen and Lee Hayes. She later moved to Anaconda with her mother and remained here until she was taken home. While she lived here she met her first husband Marshall Scholler and had 5 amazing boys. Later, life took some different turns and she met her second Husband Craig Kostad whom she loved with all her heart. They enjoyed 19 years together. Craig was able to get Cathy to go fishing and camping. They enjoyed long drives in the mountains and enjoyed their grandkids together.

Cathy is survived by her husband Craig Kostad, her children, Shawn and Tina Scholler, David Scholler, Cory Scholler, Trevor and Sherry Scholler and Cody and Seana Scholler, her grandkids Christopher Wright, Ashely Wright (Colt O'Donnell), Wesley Taylor (Shelby), Elizabeth Wright (Vernon), Matthew, Shawn, Damian, Nehemiah, Savannah, Selina and Joshua Scholler, her great grandchildren Journey Mcalpin-Wright and Payton Mcalpin-Wright, her mother Edith Jorgensen and father Jim Jorgensen, her brothers and sisters, Terry, Debbie, Todd, Tammy Hayes, and Eddie Jorgensen and many nieces and nephews.
Cathy is preceded in death by her dad Lee Hayes, grandparents, brother Michael Jorgensen, daughter Savannah Scholler and grandson Malachi Scholler.
