Boyd DeTonancour, 58, of Anaconda, died Monday, July 01, 2015 at his residence in Anaconda with his family around him. Boyd was born May10, 1957 in Anaconda to Henry and Virginia DeTonancour. He grew up in Opportunity and graduated from Anaconda High School in 1976. Boyd went to work at the Anaconda Company until it closed, then worked on the demolition. He then went to work for Pepsi, later Harrington Bottling Company for 32 years until health reasons forced him into disability. He married Debbie Markland in Anaconda on June 9, 1979 and they enjoyed 36 years together raising their family. Boyd enjoyed fishing, camping, and anything outdoors, tinkering in his garage was a favorite pastime. He was an avid Packers fan.
Boyd is survived by his wife Debbie DeTonancour, his children; Mandy (Bob) Blodnick, Devin (Valerie) DeTonancour, his mother; Virginia DeTonancour, brothers; Don (Patsy) DeTonancour, Jerry DeTonancour, his nephews; DJ and Brian Malee, Tom, Don, and Joel DeTonancour, JJ and Shawn Hughes, his niece; Kristen Jones, his grandchildren; Gabe, Brody, and Laynee Blodnick and Kendra DeTonancour, his brother-in-law John Markland and sister-in-law Mary (Mark) Wachsman. He was preceded in death by his father and by his mother and father-in-law; Ivan and Eleanor Markland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rite of Committal following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Pintler Hospice, 118 E 7th, Suite 1A, Anaconda or to Pintler Pets, PO Box 1204, Anaconda, MT 59711.
