Bonnie Davies Obituary
Bonnie Ilene Davies began her journey into this world on February 23, 1950, in Anaconda, Montana. During her pathway through life, she was blessed to be united with the love of her life Samuel Davies and to bring 3 beautiful children into this world. The fruit of her labor blossomed and spread in a beautiful way. She has cherished many sunsets and sunrises and adventures so to be told. Just as the flower has its day in the sun, Bonnie finished the course of her journey on Monday, June 17, 2019, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. The footprint of her life will continue on, in those she touched so deeply.
Bonnie loved learning and succeeding in education. She graduated from Anaconda Senior High in 1968, completed a Microbiology degree at Montana State University, she became an Avon distributor, an assistant sanitarian at Anaconda Deer Lodge County, and later in life she set the precedent that it is never too late in life to further your education by completing a degree in Nursing from Montana Tech at the age of 56. She was a kind, soft-spoken and simple woman that took pride in raising her family and walked quietly in her faith. She enjoyed volunteering as an AWANA leader with Grace Baptist Church and as treasurer at United Methodist Church. Throughout her life she enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, running, hiking, aerobics, shopping and participated in a women's bowling league. One of her most memorable hikes was climbing Mt. Haggin.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Samuel; son Roger; daughter Tammy (Curtis) Rowe; grand-children Walker, Aspen, Bryden, Gabriel, Nicholas, and Kace; step grand-children Bryce, Brandyn and Brooklyn; nieces Kris Miller, Kandi (Vance) Walhood, Amy Johnson, Jessie Kinnaman, and Heidi Johnson; nephews Dennis and Billy Johnson.
As the last living member of the Johnson family she was preceded in death by her youngest son Brian Davies; her parents Edward and Irene Johnson; and siblings Scarlett, Eddie, Billy, and Irene (Bill) Crooks.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Bonnie touched are invited to join in celebrating her life at Grace Baptist Church in Anaconda, Montana on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 11:00 am. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
