Barbara Jean Brabham, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at The Village Healthcare Center in Missoula. Barbara was born in Wren, Oregon on October 22, 1932.
She met the love of her life and best friend, Vernon Brabham and they were married on June 18, 1950. They had three daughters.
They moved to Philipsburg in 1968 to join family in logging. They returned to Oregon in 1973 due to Vernon's health.
She became a hairdresser for the next 20 years. She retired in 1995 and they began wintering in Arizona which they loved. They returned to Philipsburg in 2000 and remained there.
She had always loved flowers and having the great grandchildren come for cookies. If you asked her she was doing, she always said, "Pretty Good for an Old Lady"
Barbara is survived by 2 sisters, Maxine Byler and Lenore Mehring; 2 daughters, Deanna (Casey) Lockridge and Cindy (David) Benson, 11 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; daughter, Nancy Jardine, 2 brothers, Buddy and David Hunter, grandson, Lucas Jardine and great-grandson, Joseph Henderson.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Philipsburg Cemetery.
