Official Obituary of
Ann Skocilich
September 19, 1957 ~ April 29, 2020 (age 62) 62 Years Old
4 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Ann's family - View on Tribute Wall
After a short battle with cancer, Ann passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family.
Ann was born August 19, 1957, in Anaconda, to John and Kathleen Sewvello.
She attended school in Anaconda and graduated in 1975 from Anaconda High School.
Ann married Dusty Skocilich in 1986 and in June they would have celebrated 34 years together. Ann had many jobs over the years but always seemed to end up taking care of others. Her first job was serving others as a car-hop at Lu's Drive-In. She then worked at Warm Springs as a psych tech followed by several years at St Ann's hospital as a CNA. Later she worked at CHA as a ward secretary. Ann left the healthcare field for a few years to pursue her love of knitting and crocheting and had her own store, The Knitting Nook. Afterwards, Ann returned to CHA to work as a pharmacy tech for several years. Most recently she worked at New Horizons where she loved the people she cared for and made some genuine friends in her co-workers.
Ann enjoyed a variety of things over the course of her life all of which she shared with family and friends. She began knitting and crocheting at a young age and continued with this over the course of her entire life. She made all sorts of things from blankets and sweaters to bed dolls and stockings. Ann had an amazing talent for baking and decorating cakes. She loved surprising the grandkids with special additions to their cakes. Ann tried to make sure each cake she made was special and meant something to the person receiving it. She made several for the residents at New Horizons each one unique and with special thought for the person who it was made for. Some of Ann's other interests included bowling, softball, and pool where she made a lot of dear friends. In her younger years she could be found having a good time at Kermit's Pad.
Ann has 8 grandkids and was present at every one of their births. She was so proud of each and every one of them and could always be found with her camera taking pictures of them and they have the scrapbooks to prove it.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Fr. Bob; special friends Janet Finnegan and Rhonda Blaskovich, and her many special furry companions; Murphy, Cuddles, Molly, Jeff, and Jeff 2.
She is survived by her husband, Dusty; her brother and his family, Jack, Alla, and Sophie Sewvello of Sheridan WY; daughters, Kelly (Jimmy) Skocilich; Keri Skocilich; grandkids, Katie Skocilich, Zackery Caissey, Kaylee Caissey, Layna Caissey, Kaedence Skocilich, Alyson Caissey, James Reynolds and Jasper Reynolds; brother and sister in laws, Rick (Karleen) Skocilich, Mike (Heidi) Skocilich, Debbie (Cid) Hill and, Marty (Michelle) Skocilich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service has been held per Ann's request. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Anaconda Pintler Hospice or donor's choice.
