Louis Robert Finigan passed peaceful at his residence on April 20, 2018. Louis was born to Joseph and Helen Finigan (Hallett). Louis attended school and graduated in Portland, OR. After high school, Louis joined the Army and served in the distinction of the Korean War from 1953 to 1956.
Louis also worked as a painter for Caterpillar Painting Rollover Equipment. He also worked in potato fields in Montana and Idaho. Louis moved to Anaconda in 1978 and lived in Lost Creek with his brother Wilbur.
Louis enjoyed many things in life like hunting and fishing as well as cooking chili, spaghetti sauce and a different variety of dishes. Louis loved all western shows and also his siblings, whom he loved dearly. Louis enjoyed going to breakfast at the Hanging Five Café, the Avon Café or the Pinecrest Diner, in Idaho, when he went to visit kids and family in Idaho Falls. Everywhere Louis went, he would sit and have a cup of coffee with friends. Louis enjoyed driving an orange Beetle Bug for many years. He also enjoyed going to the JFK Bar to have a drink with friends. Louis was known to many as Candyman. He loved all pets, including Lola and Rufus. He loved and enjoyed his time he spent with all of his friends.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Helen, brothers Wilbur and Doug, sisters Bev and Shirley, nephew Hewie and two grandsons.
Louis is survived by children Sandy (Levar), Bobby, Jesse (Valette), Theresa (Steven), Angie (Mike) and Chris (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Military Graveside Rites will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Veteran Section of Lower Hill Cemetery by the Anaconda American Legion Post #21 and the Montana Army Honor Guard.
