Frank Stracener Obituary

Frank Stracener lost is battle to cancer on February 10th, 2018.

He was known by a lot of names; Trader Joe, friend, husband, dad, pop, grandpop, brother, uncle, the chocolate milk man, and the guy that stopped traffic in the middle of the road to visit. He never met a stranger.

Frank loved the outdoors. Fishing, hunting on No Tell Mountain, watching wild life, and a great number of other things. But mostly, living large in what he truly believed was the 'last best place'. He was a true Montanan, and proud to call Anaconda home.

His family and friends find comfort in the simple fact that two weeks before he was told he had this monster trying to overtake his body, he was doing exactly what he wanted to do. With his friends, his critters, and out on the range seeking where the elk are hiding and bringing them home for dinner. Fortunately, it was made possible, that he came home, was cared for there, and passed there.

He was survived by his best friend (aka) his wife; Kim Stracener. Two sons; Frank Jr. and Michael Stracener. Two daughters; Tammy Spoelder and Deb Barrett. Three furbabies (yes, if you knew Frank at all, they were his kids too) Beethoven, Tye and Sammy. As well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, and more friends he truly called family than this newspaper article could hold.

Frank was a Marine, he will be honored as such in a private ceremony, and when 'the weather breaks' and the days are sunny and warm, we will have a celebration of his life, and open it to all in the community who would like to share a story, a drink, or just some good old Frank style BBQ. We will place an announcement in the newspaper, so all can come, and simply celebrate him, as he lived."

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
