Billie Bronner Obituary

Billie Bronner passed away Saturday evening at Saint James Health Care in Butte two weeks short of her 86th birthday.

Billie was born in Anaconda July 23rd, 1930 to Harry and Mary (Menahan) Schneider. She spent most of her childhood in Anaconda and attended Saint Paul's Grade School and Saint Peter's High School.

Billie married Robert Kane Eamon on Valentine's Day in 1949. They had two children, Chris and Tony. They divorced in 1967 but remained friends. In 1967, following her Father's death Billie, her mother Mary and the two children moved to California to reunite with members of the Menahan family who had left Anaconda for the Sacramento area. They made their home in Sacramento for over 30 years. During that period they had many reunions and get togethers with cousins, aunts, uncles and extended members of the Menahan family. Billie worked at several jobs in California, when in the Los Angeles area she worked at the famous Grauman's Chinese Theater and Famer's Market on Fairfax Street. In Sacramento she worked as a waitress at several supper clubs, her favorite job was at Robert's Fish Grotto in Downtown Sacramento where she worked for several years. While working at Roberts she met Fred Bronner. Fred and Billie married in October of 1973.Fred was an airplane fabrication mechanic at McClellan Air Force Base where he worked for 40 years. Fred was also a popular Magician in the area and Billie assisted him with many shows.

After retirement, in 2001 Fed and Billie returned to Montana and made their home on Penny Lane in Butte. They moved to Big Sky Senior Living in 2014. Fred passed away later in 2014 and Billie spent the past two years at Big Sky where she became part of that community.

Billie enjoyed walking, exercise, playing bingo, reading and shopping. She was a very good Catholic, attended Mass on Sunday and said the Rosary at least once a week. Even in hr later years she enjoyed a glass of wine or shot of brandy, her Irish heritage and talking about 'The old days'.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry and her husband Fred Bronner.

Billie is survived by her children, Chris Eamon of Anaconda and Tony Eamon of Tigard, Oregon, her sister Patricia (Roy) Stone or Harper's Ferry, West Virginia, six grandchildren, Amanda McCarthy, Christy Niland, Bobby Eamon, Sean Eamon Ryan Eamon and Eric Eamon and ten great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A service is being planned for a later date when family and friends can attend.
